Mission and Vision Statements

Reconsider your mission.
• Is  it still vibrant and descriptive of your role in the school looking forward?
• Does it clarify to the school community that the library is essential to outstanding student achievement?

Envision your  library based on your mission.
• Apply your mission to determine your goals for the future.
• Are there aspects of the library program  that have not kept pace with best practices in school libraries?
• How can you state your goals to be the best library for your specific mission?

Re-envision library program and/or facility needs.
• Using a consultant-led process, reconsider everything about your  current program. What could be better? How could that happen?
